This 90 minute workshop will provide you with a concise overview on the basics and principles of travel and occupational health in developing and tropical countries, the major medical, legal and logistical risks facing you and your employees, and how to proactively deal with these risks in a cost-effective manner.     Join the more than 150 participants who have mastered the mining industry by taking our acclaimed 3-day course "Understanding the Mining Industry From A to Z". This modern and interactive course provides you with an overview on all aspects of mining and financing including:

    Day 1 - Introduction to Mining (mine life stages, exploration, mining studies, the mining process, design and planning, quantification and interpretation, extraction and processing, rehabilitation)

    Day 2 - The Economics of Mining (operations into economics, exploration expenditure, determining capital requirements, mining equipment options, economic evaluation)

    Day 3 - Financing and Deal-making (raising funds and financial instruments, equity investments, debt and project finance, joint ventures, marketing and off-take agreements, technical report and media release interpretation)

    Your class leader is Dr. Willem Smuts, a geologist with a Masters degree in sedimentology from the University of Port Elizabeth and a Ph.D. from Pretoria University, who has authored over 79 scientific and technical papers. Willem has 27 years of technical and management experience in research, exploration, mining and consulting. He has edited several leading mining magazines, independently consults on coal, gold and base metals exploration and has been delivering hands-on mining courses for companies and individuals around the globe.

    Course Fees
    Course registration fees include all course materials, breakfasts, coffee breaks and lunches where applicable. Discounted rates are available for more than one participant from the same organization. Contact us for details. Fees quoted do not include taxes where applicable.

    Professional Development Credits
    Courses may count towards Professional Development continuing education credits for professional designations for investment advisors, accountants, lawyers and engineers, etc. It is the responsibility of each individual to ensure that their professional development credits are applicable to the individual regulatory and licensing bodies under which they are governed.

    Cancellation Policy
    Cancellation more than 8 weeks before the course the refund is 90% (your cost is 10%)
    Cancellation between 8 weeks and 2 weeks before the course the refund is 50% (your cost is 50%)
    Cancellation between 2 weeks and the day of the course the refund is 0% (your cost is 100%)
    Or, in all cases we will credit 100% to another course within one year at the full price for the alternative course. After a year there would be no refund at all.
    Or, the registration can be transferred to another individual from your organization.
    If we cancel the course 100% of your fees will be refunded.
